They make sports bras for a reason

Workout- Anthony's Extreme Fitness Class/1.15hrs of weights(back & biceps)

So I got out of work early today so I went on and headed to the gym early. My class does not start till 4:30 and I got there at 2:45. Wow so I just lifted weights pretty much till my arms and back were jello!!! It was a good workout. Then I did a little stretching and ate my Pure Protien bar before Anothony tried to kill us :). But while in class I noticed a few things and would like to point out a little gym etiquette.

1. Please wear a sports bra
Just because you may be an "a" does not mean that you are are able to go with wearing a regular bra or even NO bra. Yes I said no bra!!!! Jumping jacks and mountain climbers are not pretty on any size boobs bouncing around

2. Wear shorts
And no boy short style spandex do not count. I swear to you this girl was showing all that she was working with. Put some Nike shorts over that stuff and roll with it. Just because you are a size 2 does not mean wear the smallest clothing you can find to the gym. I'm just sayin :)

3. Your a Grizzlies cheerleader, OK
Dancing around during class with your shirt pulled up to show your abs and your boobs hanging out the top does nothing for ya. Everyday she comes to the gym she is just going on and on about how she is a Grizzlies cheerleader and blah blah blah!!!!! Who cares, workout. You are the one that has us do stuff longer cause you are talking during class, Thanks

4. Camisole tops are not gym workout clothes
I know you are saying that they are cotton and comfortable. I hear ya, but just because they have a shelf bra in them does not mean don't wear anything to contain those babies. They still bouncy around like bouncy balls in that "shelf bra". Put a sports bra under there please.

So I bet next time you go to the gym you will notice the crazy attire people wear too!!

Jealous

Workout- Anthony's Extreme Fitness Class/1hr cardio & weights

Random I know :) First is about working out. I go to the gym almost everyday or do some sort of exercise and still find my self not happy with what I look like. I can be at the gym and find something on someone there working out that I wish I had or wish looked like. I have lost 9lbs lost a lot of inches and have people at the gym tell me that I look good! What the hell is wrong with me!!

Second thing that I am jealous about is family. I want kids. I was thinking the other day that this year I will be 29 and no talk of kids in the next 2-3 yrs. It makes me sad :( we have been married for 3 yrs this august and thought that we would at least be trying by now. I feel left out. I want to be excited about being pregnant, buying cute baby things and having a little one running around. I know it will be hard but we have a lot of support between my family and his. Why am I jealous of my friends, because they are all so darn cute with their little families!!!

Ugh!! I guess that I am just in a funk the past few days and I know I need to be thankful! And don't get the wrong impression! I am! I have my health, a great husband, fantastic friends and family but sometimes I think that ya just need to vent and write it down :)

But with all that said there are some great things coming up in the next few weeks! The PRAY Run March 19, a few little ones are having their birthdays, The American Cancer Society Zodiac Ball and a few crawfish festivals!!! So I will leave it at that and with happy thoughts!!

12.25 inches down!!!!

Super excited!! So back in December I stopped drinking cokes, diet dr.pepper etc. It was sssoooooooo hard. I was a 5,6,7 coke a day person. So, needless to say it was hard for me to do. I did it cold turkey. I came home from the gym one day and there was a 2-liter of coke in the fridge and it looked so good. So I took a ginormica sip!! Then my husband was like did you really just do that!! He was so shocked that I worked out for a few hours at the gym and then drank all that coke. So that day I stopped!! And now down 12.25 inches!!!!!

I have been busting my butt at the gym too!!!! Pretty much everyday after work I head to the gym! My favorite person to take classes from is Anthony! He is the best trainer by far. Some people don't like him because he is all business. He does yell and does push people to do more and gets mad when people are talking and stops the music. But seriously if you are at the gym, workout!! I am all about it if it will get me to losing more weight and looking a little leaner. On a sad note though, my sevens are too big :( Boo

Too tall, really??!!

So a few months back my brother was approached about modeling!! Pretty cool huh! Well he had some pics taken and submitted them to Colors,an agency here in Memphis. He signed with them and has done small stuff around here. Well they told him that if he could get the flight to NYC they had some go sees set up for him with agencies like Ford, Red and Click!!! OMG!!! I was thinking of ways to get him money so he could go. What an amazing opportunity. Well he got the ticket and is in New York meeting with agencies as I type!! I can not imagine how fantastic that would be. Yes I will admit that I do watch Americas Next Top Model and wonder what it would be like to do that for a job!!!!! Have someone make you up to look freaking gorgeous, wear superubber expensive clothes and take pics!! Sign me up!!

Well back to my brother and enough about me going on about a job I will never have. So those of y'all that have seen my brother know that he is super tall and in great shape. So I was thinking no problem with him booking runway and editorial jobs! Well I was texting him today asking him how it was going and if he had heard any news from any agencies and he said that all 3 today told him they would not book him cause he was too tall!! Never thought I would hear that in the modeling world! I asked how that works and apparently the designers send clothes to the agencies for models to try on and pretty much if they don't fit you are out. I am assuming that all the clothes made my brother look like he was ready for the high tide a hahaha!! Hopefully there will be better news from the ones on Monday that said they would be in contact with his agency. That would be pretty cool to see him in a mag :)

Starting back

So I think my last post was me training for the Nashville half marathon. Well that never happened :( I broke my foot the end of February last year and was in a boot for 8 wks and then unable to run for 8 wks. It was horrible!! I think I was more mad than anything. Those of you that have trained for and ran a large race know the amount of time that has to be invested into something like that and then to not be able to run! It was no fun!!!

After all that was healed and I was able to workout again I decided to do the St. Jude half marathon. It was absolutely amazing!!! It was difficult but worth all the hours training and all the blisters, 6am Saturday runs, and aching muscles. I will be doing at again this year and try to get some other friends to do it with Cullene and I again :) so for now I have been lifting weights and doing the Extreme Fitness class about 5 days a week. Getting a little OCD I think with us going to Hawaii in June and being in my friends wedding in July!! I told her she is going to have some good lookin bridesmaids!!

Well that is all for now. Time to go work on the patio to get it ready for summer :)

Taking A Break

So over the past few weeks I have been training pretty hard for my half marathon. I run about 5 or 6 days a week and also do weights and and extreme fitness class. Thursday of last week I was at my fitness class and went to do jumping jacks and was almost brought to my knees from pain in my right foot!!! Felt like a cramp so I stretched it out and just sort of took it easy the rest or the class. It was a little tight Friday so I took that day off from training then went for a short run with Emily Saturday morning. My foot felt fine, until I decided to go to Anthony's fitness class. The same thing happened this time, pain from doing jumping jacks!! UGH!! Really!? I came home and iced my foot and it felt sooooo much better so..... Sunday my dumb butt went for my 6 mile run with Bethany at Shelby Farms. Needless to say after that run I could not put weight on my foot. Smart I know :) SO after some research on the computer, I think I have achilles tendonitis!! Nothing to serious if i take time to let it heal. I guess I have just over done it with increasing my miles and running hills my foot was like "I am done doing this for now. I want a break" So I have listened to my foot and have been icing and elevating it. Can you say BORING!!!! I am ready to get back to working out :) Sounds weird I know. But I guess on a positive note, I feels so much better.

7 More To Go

So not sure if I have told yall yet but April 24, 2010 me , Bethany and some girls that she works with will be running the Nashville Country Music Half Marathon!!!! I can not wait. This will be my second half marathon and some people think that I am crazy, especially my husband, for running 13.1 miles. For me there is something that is relaxing once I get to mile 4 or so. I sort of zone out. I am up to 6 miles so far and knock on wood I am still injury free!!! Weird I know!! The race weekend is going to be CRAZY!!! First there are about 35,000 people signed up to run, it is the best party race, and it is Bethany's birthday!! I think that driving home Sunday is not going to be fun, a bunch of sore tired individuals!!

Another fun thing that I have done is join the Memphis Runner's Club with my friend Cullene. It is the Winter Cross Country Series and it is all trail running :( The first run was just a 3k, lets just say that we did not finish because the trail was not marked very well. The next weekend was a 5k at Stanky Creek. WOW!!! So after a week of rain, lets just say that it was like running through a creek the entire time. We had a blast though. Cullene took a spill and I sank in mud up to my knees!!! LOL. I had to stop and laugh a few times. It has been alot of fun and I am looking forward to February 21 for our 10k at Shelby Farms. Hopefully no mud this time :)
